🏅North Dakota is saying no to the House Settlement.
That's a really big deal. Here's why.
Hey there,
Across the country schools are planning for the fallout from the House v. NCAA – prepping their athletic department for budget cuts to make room rev-sharing, roster cuts to their less profitable sports, and a whole lot more. The changes are taking place as we speak.
Well, except for one school. North Dakota isn’t making any of those changes, because they decided last week that they were not opting into the House settlement at all. Their AD Bill Chaves called the decision the most “responsible course of action,” – an odd thing to say when the entire college sports world seems to disagree with you.
Is Chaves ahead of the curve here? Or is the school’s athletic director making a massive mistake – one that could haunt them for the next decade? Let’s figure that out right now.

Why is North Dakota opting out?
At this point you’re probably wondering why Chaves wants his school to opt-out of the settlement. The answer to that question has to do with the timing of the whole thing.
