Giving Thanks

The Saturday after Thanksgiving is bittersweet.

On one hand, you’ve been stuffing yourself with turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing – every meal, for three days straight. You’ve watched more football than you could ever imagine, and it’s not even Sunday yet. Sweet.

On the other hand, the community toilet has been backed up since uncle Joe’s post-dinner bathroom excursion. The dishes haven’t been cleaned since Thursday, and your in-law’s flight home just got cancelled. Bitter.

Don’t worry, we get it. Because while you’re taking extra walks around the block to work off that turkey grease, we’re here to give you your sweet, sweet NIL content. Of course, we’ll be back next week with our regularly scheduled programming, but today, we’re looking at what everyone around the NIL world is thankful for.

Bo Nix is thankful for… Colorado’s defense, which provided a cool $300K NIL valuation bump after the Oregon QB lit them up earlier this season.

Jimbo Fisher is thankful for… Contract guarantees, which will ensure he receives $70M not to coach one of the biggest NIL spending teams in the country, Texas A&M.

Arch Manning is thankful for… His last name, which has catapulted his valuation up to $2.8M despite not playing a snap for Texas this season.

Mark Emmert is thankful for… current NCAA president Charlie Baker, who has stepped into a job so toxic that Chernobyl looks attractive in comparison.
