We’re back with some more predictions to kick off the new year. Last edition, we told you about a few ways we expect college sports to change off the field – within the business world, NIL collectives, and legal system. Maybe that one was a bit… heady. Don’t worry though – this time around we’re looking at the on-field changes – how the sports themselves are going to change. This is about what you see on your screen each week as a college football fan, and how that may be a tad different in 2025.

Some of these predictions are bolder than others. Some have a lot of data behind them, while others just require a bit of intuition (and perhaps some luck as well). Enough qualifiers – let’s get into it.
