🏅CBB Commissioner Prospects: Jim Boeheim

Evaluating how the legendary Syracuse coach would fare as College Basketball Commissioner

Hey there,

Today we’ve got an exciting edition of All-Access. We’ve talked about college football commissioners… but what about basketball? Who might be able to lead college hoops out of the madness we currently find ourselves in, and toward the promised land?

Maybe it’s Jim Boeheim, which is exactly who we’re looking at in today’s edition of College Commissioner Prospects.

We’re happy to give this story to our All-Access subscribers. Not a member yet? Don’t worry, you can sign up here. We’ve got payment plans for every budget – you won’t regret it, trust us.

The same issues plaguing college football – conference realignment chaos, NIL uncertainty, and general NCAA skepticism – are casting long shadows over men’s and women’s hoops as well.

Tons of questions loom about college basketball, enough that maybe, just maybe, there’d be a push for college basketball itself to have a basketball commissioner. It’s really not that crazy to think about – what if we gave someone the power to simply fix all of this?

So, let’s keep the experiment rolling. We’ve been riffing on potential commissioners for college football, like Nick Saban and Tommy Tuberville. Now, it’s time to switch lanes and focus on the hardwood.

We’ll apply the same approach to potential college basketball commissioner prospects as we’ve been doing with college football candidates – evaluating them like we’re pundits sizing up a presidential candidate. Oh, and we’ll also give a “presidential doppelganger” at the end.

Today’s candidate? A name that’s practically synonymous with Syracuse basketball: Jim Boeheim.
